Which one is your favorite? I'm stuck thinking of either Ocarina of time or Majoras mask. Good grief was windwaker a departure! Windwaker is a game I desperately wanted to like but it looked like it was out of a coloring book. Here's to Twilight Princess whenever it comes out

Windwaker I could maybe have played with a blindfold... if I owned a GameCube and had a sixth sense.
My favorite is Link's Awakening on the Game Boy. It was fairly simple and not as long as its SNES counterpart, without having any puzzles that are SO difficult they actually detract from the fun.
Ocarina of Time I liked for the most part, though it picked up a lot for me once I got to play as adult Link. Didn't care too much for running around as kiddie Link, which is why I could never get into Majora's Mask.

Mine is Link's Awakening as well but simply because it was the first one in the series I played. However I've played most of the older ones and I still like Awakening the most.

Oh it's so good to hear others don't like windwaker as much as I didn't like it. Maybe that's why Twilight Princess looks like it'll be dark (just like windwaker should have been). Zelda 2 eh? Wasn't that one a platform jumper? Though the uppercut and down slashy-type moves paved the way for link to rock in super smash brothers and that's kinda similar. Ha I just negated myself there

Parts of it at least were side-scrolling. I don't think the whole game was that way though.

Jump on the Link's Awakening bandwagon! Everybody loves throwing Magic Powder at a raccoon and having it turn into Mario!

They both have good elements. I was contemplating making a zelda tape featuring the first four games but could an 8 or 12 hour tape really take the majority of these games in full?

Sure thing. It just takes two vcrs. Ill also get to you the dracula book when Im done reading it. And Night of the living dead. Now as for the Zelda tape, what Ill need to do is think of the quickest route from the begining to end on all of them to fit the tape. Question is could all four games be done on a 6,8 or 12 hour tape? and if there is much room after that, I suppose I would include Zelda64 since it is the 5th game. that should take care of the tape at that point. and if 64 is included, Reno or Fenris will have to do that one since Im not as famillar with it. Ive only played it once to the end and had a hard time and that was long ago.
Also one point bothers me, 2,3 and 4 have no second quests to speak of. Should we include the second quest of Zelda one on the tape?

you know what would be quite the test would be attempting to get the good ending for Zelda 4 where you never die, so that Marin really grows wings. I have beaten Zelda 3 without dying but never 4. That will be quite a feat.

That will be quite a feat. It's highly overrated. The ending is the exact same until the screen that says "The End," and then she flies past. Once. It's really rather lame. But if you want to do it, just press A, B, Start and Select anytime you're dying (you've taken the last hit but haven't hit the ground yet). You can save and quit, and you'll start with half to two-thirds of your energy back, without the death recorded on your file. However, you cannot use this trick to prevent the shopkeeper from killing you, so you'll either have to not steal from him or never go into the shop again after you do.
