Are they more trouble than they're worth?
Sure they can do extrodinary stuff but what about all the code they have to keep up with in the process? Seems outside of a fight most are left waiting for another.

That's not wha bothers me abou the jedi and I do feel they do get the short end ofthe stick with skill points. I just don't like the new trilogy influence on the jedi. When I think of jedi before the original trilogy I think back to the times of Tott Doneeta and Nomi Sunrider.

It depends on the era, as well as the campaign.
Jedi Consulars can actually find a lot to do outside of battle, given their extra class skills and the extra couple skill points. However, a Guardian's skills are geared almost exclusively towards the Force and combat, so they really aren't too good at a lot of other things.
In the Rise of the Empire era I think they're alright, because they have public backing and a good reputation in a lot of places to back them up. Plus they don't have to hide their power and status like they do in the Rebellion Era.
Personally, I wouldn't play a Jedi in the Rebellion Era, but that's mostly because of my desire to stay consistent with the storyline and not have too many Jedi running around. I hadn't really thought about their usefulness outside of battle too much until you brought it up.
And in the New Jedi Order, I wouldn't play a Jedi. Or any other class. Because the New Jedi Order is poop.

I agree the new jedi order is crap. The only way I'd ever play as a jedi is if I were to stat J'kon Doneeta. For those that don't know what I'm talking about he's a Twi'lek jedi from a story I've been working on for ages. So he's a distant realitive of Tott Doneeta. Also for the reord he would be a jedi counsular.

I suppose you're right about the Counselor. He has skills that are geared towards non combat. Though if it comes to combat that base attack progression sure isn't gonna help. Tradeoffs I suppose

Unfortunately it's really hard to get a good BAB progression in Star Wars. You gotta be either a Guardian or a Soldier. That's one of the things I think Star Wars needs, more base classes.

I'm not sure. I know they have character concepts, essentially multiclassing paths you can take to approximate different kinds of characters that maybe you can't get with just one class, such as the Outlaw Tech (a combination scoundrel/tech specialist). I don't know of any other base classes in that book, though.

Certainly. Excellent use of both Illusion and Affect Mind on yours and gunblade's parts.

Does it seem at all unrealistic that all those masters could be destroyed by clones like that? Couldn't a sense roll have let most of them not be taken off guard? I've watched it over and it just seems like they could've done more

Darth Vader was supposed to have picked off a bunch of Jedi. Although it does seem funny that Yoda was the only one you see sense the attack in time.

Glad someone agrees with me on that. I had forgotten Ben mentioning how Vader hunted down and destroyed the jedi knights.

My thought is that Vader is so indeed ultra powerful that he could also choke the Jedi senses as well....This is a man who, on his worst day, could strangle someone on another planet with a mere thought....
My reason that only Yoda could sense him doing what he does is because Yoda was supposed to be at the pinnacle of light, while Vader was at the pinnacle of dark, therefore only he could feel Vader slaughtering everyone on existing planets...all other Jedi would just feel " a disturbance in the force"

Now if Vader was killing that many people, could Yoda tell exactly who is doing it? I suppose he could assume it's Vader or someone of equal power(If there was such a person at that time).
