Ok ack in the spirit of this thread I had another idea for recasting. Instead of Christopher Lee in the Star Wars movies I think Tony Jay would have worked much better. For those of you who don't know the name he's the voice of the Elder God in the Legacy of Kain series. I also found out he's Magneto in X-Men Legends.

I also found out he's Magneto in X-Men Legends. And he does a good job at it.

What it all comes don to is I like Christopher Lee but he's known for horror movies. Attack of the Clowns was a horror movie but not for different reasons than Dracula movies.

I think Jim Caviezel would have been better for Tom Cruise's role in The Last Samurai. But that's mostly because I don't like Tom Cruise and if he hadn't been in that movie I could say that he hadn't done anything good since Interview With the Vampire. Jim Caviezel:

I think Larry Thomas the actor that played the soup nazi, should be used if they make a new movie about Dracula with an emphis on historical connections. Judge for yourself. Dracula Larry Thomas With his commanding and ethnic voice I could really see him as the cruel ruler of Wallachia. I could easily see him nailing hats to diplomats heads, and taking sadistic delight in impaling people. Giving the orders to have people killed, and toying with people on whether they should live or die. All he needs is longer hair.

Can't say I can think of a better Dracula especially since Christopher Lee can't really get away with that anymore.

Nope. He's played Dracula something like nine times, but he's way too old now.

I want to see some exaples of Lees work as Dracula in motion. He looked good in the picture I saw of him.

I have the Satanic Rites of Dracula if you want to borrow it sometime. It also has Peter Cushing as Van Helsing.
