This really is about as good as it gets. Anyone have a favorite member of the 9 companions? Why do you choose that one?

I like Legolas because elves are cool, even if they DO look like girls.
On a related note, I have seen the box set of all 3 extended films. It comes in a big box the same shade of green as the extended Fellowship DVD came in.

I knew they would do that. Now I want to see if I can just get the box without the DVDs in it.
And for my favorite Fellowship member I'd have to go with Boromir. Not only does he take about 5 to 10 arrows and keep fighting but he actually tries to take the ring from Frodo and realizes the importance of Frodo's mission before many of the other Felloship members.

i agree with Kain. Boromir's death actually made me sad. This is the only movie i don't own the extended version of!

Ya i'm with you two. Boromir was my favorite member too. Shame they didn't quite make him as strong as he was in the books but i'm a Sean Bean fan and can't complain there. Him going down always gets me. His character definetly has the most development in a short amount of time.

Yeah, Legolas, Gimli, and the hobbits don't really develop much until the second movie. But I blame that on Frodo the Attention Hog.

I like Gimli for his less chat nire splat attitude. I love how he just decides to bust the ring and instead busts his axe. Plus in The Two Towers I think he has some of the funniest lines.

Heres a good one: best fight in the movie. Eithe 1 on 1 or a skirmish or massive battle. You get the idea

Hmm... I'm gonna go with Helm's Deep on that one. It's the first time we ever see a battle on that scale in this kind of movie, and so it has more impact than seeing the battles in Return of the King.
