Frankly this year movies have sucked. All but one movie dissapointed me when I wanted to see them. The only movie that I thought was good that I wanted to see was The Bourne Ultimatum. The movies I've seen this year that I've liked a lot that I didn't plan on seeing were Spiderman 3, The Simpsons and Transformers. Now given this terrible trend I really hope that The Golden Compass does not dissapoint. given the 5 minute clip I found on youtube I don't think that it will.

I haven't seen many this year. I enjoyed Pirates 3, though it certainly wasn't as good as the first two. Transformers, I'm forced to admit, was pretty good. I know I've seen something else this year but for the life of me can't remember what it was.

I didn't really care for the last pirates movie. They started pulling story elements ouf of thier asses and I really didn't like the end. It wasn't outright bad but it was nowhere as good as I was hoping for.

Was Ghost Rider this year? That was... decent. Great atmosphere and nice action, but a plot thinner than Calista Flockhart at her worst. And it took quite a few creative liberties, but then that seems to be par for the course with comic book films.
