So I picked up 3 booster packs of the new Xiaolin Showdown TCG from Walmart last night. Without the starter set (which, surprisingly, was sold out), I have no idea how the game is played, so I can't comment on that as of yet.
One thing I'm not fond of is that booster packs only have ten cards, instead of the fifteen I've gotten used to from Magic.
On the upside, the cards are the same size as Magic cards so at least I won't need to buy those silly Yu-gi-oh sleeves. Also, the design is pretty good and the card backs look nice. The flavor text on cards often has nothing to do with the card itself, and there are several Shen Gong Wu cards that I've never heard of from the show, like the Bubble Brains and Da Hippa Hoppa.
Without knowing how to play or having anybody to play against, I can't offer a more definitive opinion on the game yet. But I do feel that for the same price as a booster of Magic, I ought to be getting the same number of cards.

From that little flash video they had on the site there are Shen Gong Wu you get to see in the game before the show.

Sounds interesting. Have you seen a game of it played yet?

Nope. The only time I've ever seen the cards outside a pack is when I bought these.
