Ooh, this ought to be a good one, given the number of comic book junkies there are on this board.
So which is better, Marvel or DC? I'm sure a good case could be made for either, and it all ultimately comes down to personal preference anyway.
That said, Marvel is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better. All DC has going for it is Batman. Other than Batman, DC characters suffer from a string of cheesy names, one-dimensional personalities, and well... just overall uninteresting (to me) characters.
So what do you all think?

Alright in my opinion, Even though DC has Justice League and Superman, which im a Big Superman fan(movie wise mostly) for my childhood hero Christoper Reeves, I would have to say i lean equally between the two they have equally the same amount of favorite heros in each place....if it were story wise i would probably say X-Men, Loved the Age of Apoc. Aera, and reading the Infinity Challenge starring Thanos that was grand, however theres also Kingdom Come with DC and that was a Sweet concept there alone, I really cant make a solid decision between the two cause there both great, I like both areas and well to make a decision i would have to really go in depth and that would be alot of work, right now place me in the mid between the two.

I'm a Marvel fan because of one reason; X-Men. In fact if it wasn't for X-Men I wouldn't care about comics in general regardless of Marvel or DC. On that note I don't find DC boring, but in the past I only saw DC as Batman, but recently I started looking more into Superman and the Justice League.

Batman is all DC has for it. As for the X-Men I am interested in it only as far as what I liked during the time of the Cartoons. The ultimates stuff I have no interest in and the more recent non ultimates stuff I have no interest in. Oh and DC has the Vertigo line which has Swampthing and Hellblazer. Any Alan Moore comics published by DC is on the Vertigo line like V For Vendetta. Overall I think Dark Horse comics is better.

I really thought this debate would take off more than it did. But it seems that Marvel is indeed more highly regarded than DC, with one or two exceptions. Basically the only area in which we disagree is whether Superman and the Justice League interest us. Ah well.
