So what is your favorite board game? Mine has to be Risk: Godstorm and Monopoly as a second. Risk: Godstorm is pretty fun and can last just as long if not longer than Monopoly. You summon Gods to aid you in waging war and can fight in the underworld in an effort to bring your troops back to the phsical world to continue the fight. You can choose from the Greeks, the Norse, the Egyptians, the Celts, and the Babylonians and their respective gods of: the sky, war, death, and magic.

Risk:God Storm is the best one Ive played in recent memory.(This spans several years.) I also like its style and look better then traditional Risk. Though I like the traditional one as well. Risk in all its forms has always been a fun game. I would like to own the Godstorm version one day but I would also like to buy the futuristic one too. I believe it includes the moon.

Monopoly for me. Either standard version or the Star Wars original trilogy variant.
Standard Risk I actually don't enjoy very much. The game drags on forever and I've always played with some people who would drag it out even longer by not attacking aggressively. Also, I've a problem with the board design because it seems like whoever gains control of the Australia continent wins the game.
Godstorm Risk is a vast improvement on the original. Still suffers from a few problems though, in that the underworld is more trouble than its worth to manage, and it still takes forever for a game to finish. But as I said, big improvement on the original. And the pieces are bigger so it's not as easy to keep losing them.
For you Risk fans, I suggest you check ebay for a game called Samurai Swords. It's like Risk but in Japan with Samurai. I played it once in college and it's at least as good as any other Risk-style game. Only problem is it's hard to find now because they don't make it anymore.

Currently LOTR risk. The aspect of the ring thrown into the mix makes it ALOT more exciting. The game actually has an internal clock this way on when it ends. The stronghold idea is such a good idea for strategy and so simple to use at the same time. Besides, i've always wanted to crush Minas Tirith as Mordor

Whoa its been very long since I played that. I forgot the specific rules but I remember really liking it when I was younger. I would be willing to play that again. I use to read some of the clue novels.

Me too. The Clue novels added to the game because it turned the characters into more than just different colored pieces whose names played off their color.

They made books off of Clue? Wow I had no idea. Clue the boardgame is alright but i'm biased. It seems i've either played against some of the greatest detectives of our time or i'm just incredibly slow. Either way i'm not ruling one or the other out. The game needs something more than being a guessing/memory game. I'm just not the one to think of it at the moment

PUBLIC ASSISTANCE!!!! i can't believe no one said that one yet It's a funny game, but not really interactive at all. It comes down a lot to just how lucky your dice rolls are, and there's not a lot of thought or strategy involved, which is what keeps it from being one of my top favorites.

4-way chess is pretty cool. It's also insane if you play the game right and try to think ahead since you have double the angles you have to consider. Plus it gives you away to play team chess. Good grief though if you get a battle royale going...
