Another obscure one that is still on our shelves has to be Fantasy Forest. A game made in the early 80's where you use a system of numbered cards with monsters on them to move your children threw the forest. It's surprisingly fun. I just got some people I know to try it out recently and it has held up from time very well for a game meant for no one over like 12 years old. They say on the box for "2-4 elves", sadly I have not elves to play it with and I myself am not one either. Either way I reccomend.

Here's an obscure one from the 60's on our shelves: Probe. No, it isn't quite what it sounds like. You set up cards with letters on them from 1-12 letters upside-down of course. You can have up to 5 blanks too at the start or end of your word to mix it up. As each persons turn to guess comes up they draw a card from a deck of action cards that are like gain or lose X points or expose a letter or have an opponent expose a letter. It's really surprisingly fun and engaging.

I can safely say I've never heard of that one. But I wouldn't mind giving it a try someday.
