Well, fist off since I feel I have built a reputation for myself for having a stick up my butt when it comes to 3.5 I've come to a resonable conclusion. I'm still doing things in 3.0 since its what I know and own. Players can do whatever they like but my NPC,s skills, feats, spells and items all work accordng to the 3.0 rules.
All I ask for any of the strange classes out there not in the Players Handbook is if you can provide me with a digital copy or tell me what book its from let me at least look it over and see how it works.
The starting level will be 10 because I want to attempt to get everyone upto 20 by its all saidand done. Starting gold I have yet to figure out due to it being in Ravenloft. As for magic items Ravenlofts a low magic setting so you can start with one item of your choosing providing its reasonable. As for weapons go nothing past +3 total enchantment. I'll also provide everyone with 1 item of my liking and others will be aquired throughout the journey. I would much prefer standard races in case anyones got any funny ideas in mind.
As for starting location it does not matter where. I am adding a new domain which I will post about. You can be a native of the new domain if you like. It's Norse in nature and will appear as a island kingdom just south of Sithicus. So ideally everyone who is playing will be heading to this island for the sake of some form of adventure.
I would also like some form of character history. I don't need a novel or anything but even a vague history. If you also want me to add it to the story in any way let me know. Like if you want to be able to go home and visit realitives. Or if you want to invest gold into a shop and want to check up on things. Or even if you want to craft some sort of personal villian and have him/her/it in the game.
Well. I need to reconstruct my domain notes I have half of them I'll post what I got in a new topic.

Since you mention the new domain is south of Sithicus, I feel I ought to ask: is Soth still the lord of Sithicus or are we following the Ravenloft canon where Azrael now rules the land and Inza is the darklord?

I still use Soth. Although I may have never played when he was still there I feel them removing and then killing him for spite was uncalled for. Unlss I'm wrong and there are D&D police to arrest me for playing wrong nothing the whiners that had him removed can do about it. That and I just like Lord Soth more.

soth IS one of the cooler official DnD characters out there, definitely top 5.
anyway, Andy, I'd like to play the class i used in kens last game, the soulknife, though I'll be using a different prestige class, so i wont be an undead killing machine, in fact my damage will be relatively low, but I'll mostly be a ranged fighter so thats OK.
basically the base class the soulknife is a melee class that makes they're own weapon, the class is psionic in name and source only as it doesn't follow any of the rules of psionics other than psionic focus (which wont come up because I'll never use that class ability, its has more restrictions than sneak attack and nowhere near as much damage) The weapon gains power, in the form of enhancements and enchantments, as the class levels. the soulbow (the prestige class) works much the same way, but focus's on ranged combat rather than close combat.
neither class has a full BAB, infarct with the build I'm gonna use I'm just getting my second attack at lvl10.
as for the weapon's power, at 10th level it'll be a +3 equivalent weapon.
uh...oh, and i can give you digital copies of the book the classes come from so you can look them over, and remember, you don't need any prior knowledge of psionics to figure out how these classes work, as its not really psionic other than in name.

That works fine. The main reason I want to see stuff is if I think its cool and want to use it for NPCs myself I would like to know where to locate weapons, classes and abilities. There's so many books out there its hard to go through them all.

Well you know my deal, but I'll say it here for everyone's sake and just as a reminder.
I'll be playing a Cleric prestige classed into Stormlord from Complete Divine. Basically Stormlord gives me free electrified weapons with free +1 bonuses that eventually become +2 and +3 further down the line. I can walk and ride through storms as if it were a sunny day, and eventually fly in storms as if using the spell fly. Also Stormlord allows me to advance my Cleric spells as I took a level in Cleric. Finally I get electricity resistance up to 15, and then I get immunity to it towards the end of the Stormlord levels. I will be worshipping Thor as a requirement to the prestige class and to benefit the theme of the game. I will be starting in a city within the new domain.
I plan on getting the book sometime next week assuming Games PLus still has it. So I'll have a digital and a physical copy for you to look at.
And I think that covers everything for my character until I get my history finished.

I PMed you my character's long history. Hope it helps the game out. I included a couple things you could use in the game to add to it maybe.

So who else is in the game? And do we know what kind of characters they'll be playing?

Seems we got a good sized group so far. As far as I know its you, Diane, Ken, Alex John Easter, and Kens cousin Larry. As for character types not too sure yet. Alex menioned on here what he wanted to do and Kens doing a Cleric with lvels in a prestiege class out of Complete Divine. Forget what its called but its the storm one. Seems Johns doing the Blue Mage again as well which is why I posted it.

And my cousin will likely be doing a ranger of sorts. He wants to build up a stealthy-like character for role-playing purposes, but not be a rogue as he doesn't care too much for them; so then I mentioned the possibility of a Ranger and that seemed to go over well. We still haven't decided on a prestige class yet for him if any though.

Yeah no kidding. I didn't expect such a trnout but its ok. The big group should make things interesting. By the way in about 2 weeks I should be ready to start. I've been spending the last 2 days statting the enemies and planning for the first session. It should proove to be very combat heavy.

I am almost using the sameback story as before with a few slighty touches that elaborate more on what the Blue Mage tribe was like.
