Here's the history I cooked up. I need to add info on the few cities within the Kingdom once I recreate that.
In 1562 an alliance of Dwarves, Elves and Men made their final stand in the feilds Vigard. The alliance was victorious in battle and in time the outpost Gunvore was no longer needed. As life slowly returned to normal and the war soon became forgotten history Gunvore was converted from a millitary outpost to a trading outpost. As traffic continued to increase in the fields of Vigard the city of Thunarstaldt was built.
In 1752 Thunarstaldt was made capital of what now had become the Kingdom of Vigard. Upon completion of Castle Haldor, King Andvari Asmundsson, a Dwarf took up rule. For three hundred years things were peaceful and the naval outpost Noatun and the village of Unnr came to be. Then the peace was threatened when an outside force challenged the sovereignty of the people of Vigard. In the second year of the war the current king Audhild Birgersson, was slain. The battle raged on for another two years before finally coming to a devistating end.
The armies of Vigard were victorious but they had lost much. King Audhild had no heirs and after much fighting kingship was passed to a popular Elven war hero. In the year 1756 for the first time in Vigar'ds history an Elf sat on the throne. Again the kingdom settled into a period of peace and rebuilding. In the year 1914 the youngest king to assume the throne in Vigard's history became king. Barely considered a man the young Erik took the throne. He had become king in a very troubled time. Civil unrest threatened the land from within and everywhere border disputes were growing tense. With wisdom beyond his years young Erik was able to bring stability bak to the land. In time he became the most popular king in Vigard's history and was widely known as the peacekeeper.
2144 marked a change in the history of the kingdom. An unnamed stranger came to speak with King Erik and nothing was the same afterward. Soon Erik ordered the armies to march to attack a much lrger and much more powerful kingdom. The temples were closed and clerics procecuted. Anyone who questioned the kings orders were openly executed without remorse. An underground rebel force was formed and harbored the survivng clerics. After two years of planning they were ready to march upon Castle Haldor and put an end to King Erik's reign. Before they could execute thier plans a massive wave of energy was released from the castle laying waste to everything in its path. As this wave of energy came a dense fog envolped the kingdom of Vigard.
