Grand stand is a good pizza place.
Since the question came up I will show which toppings I like and don't like in general.
The toppings I don't like are bacon, Canadian bacon, ham, ground or roast beef, hamburger, chicken, BBQ sauce, anchovies, sardines, shrimp, eggplant, ricotta cheese, jalapeno, hot giardinera, and pineapple.
Red & green peppers, onions, broccoli and spinach don't bother me but they certainly aren't my favorite toppings either. I feel the same way about mushrooms, green olives and feta cheese. Not sure if had artichokes and zucchini before.
The toppings I like the most are sausage, pepperoni, meatball, garlic, black olives and tomatoes. Plain cheese is always good too.

I absolutely positively will NOT eat mushrooms or anything seafood. I can eat sausage or pepperoni on pizza but I would prefer to have something else as I am pretty sick of them since that's what we get almost every week at my house.
I've never had chicken, giardinera, eggplant, or BBQ sauce on pizza. Would like to try chicken sometime, though I imagine it needs to go with another topping to make it good. The others don't sound like they'd be good on pizza.
I don't really care for onions, green peppers, or jalapeno peppers on pizza, though I can do those if people want. I had a gyro pizza once, and that one I did have onions with.
I like bacon, Canadian bacon, and most vegetables as pizza toppings. Adding another kind of cheese seems like kind of a waste of a topping but tastes alright if anybody wants to do that.
As for pizza places, Franklin Park has a lot of them. Grand Stand is fine. So is Sneakers. Jake's has good deep dish but their thin crust is too greasy. They're nice and cheap though. Nick & Bruno's I don't care for much. There's also Cochiaro's in Northlake that's pretty good.
Also, I sent Tony a text about Sunday. Waiting to hear back if he can come or not. Hope you guys don't mind my taking the initiative.

Well I think I'm going to pass on the pizza. I had pizza yesterday and it caused my IBS to flair up really bad. It seems that the mixture of ingredients just doesn't agree with me anymore. I'm not sure what I'll eat or if I'll even eat at all, but feel free to do a pizza for the three of you still.

To John. Don't worry I don't really care about mushrooms anyway they just don't bother me but to me they really don't even have much of a taste anyway so I wouldn't bother. Incidentally I remember Alex saying something about not liking tomatoes. I like them and I think fresh ones in particular add some moisture that mixes well with the sauce and gives a unique flavor but thats only if their fresh and Di luciano is the only place that really does it right so we can definitely skip that as well and get other things.
I also agree with no seafood as I mentioned not wanting anchovies, sardines and shrimp. I like sausage and pepperoni because to me those are the normal meats to get on a pizza but something else is good. I think a good alternative to sausage is meatball because its softer and tastes good too.
I know some of the toppings I said I don't like are what other people like you and Andy always liked but I myself never liked them that much. I'll explain why though. I like bacon by itself but I don't like the way it tastes on a pizza. I don't like Canadian bacon by itself as it is. I'm not a huge fan of ham and only rarely eat it by itself. The same with roast and ground beef/hamburger and I particularly don't like the way they taste on pizza. I've had a BBQ pizza before with Andy and Tony but it tasted really really really bad to me and it made me sick. I may not be entirely opposed to chicken though. I think I only had it once many years ago but it was mixed with a bunch of other stuff and so it was more then just the chicken I was tasting. I may be willing to try that one again.
To Ken sorry about your sickness. Though it does remind me that we got Chinese food instead of pizza in the past which we can do again as an option.

Well, I've got a maybe from Tony, he doesn't seem to know if he will have to work or not. So I wouldn't count on him showing up.
There is nothing saying we have to go in on a pizza, especially if Ken isn't going to do it. We could get more than one pizza so our various tastes can be accomodated, or we could each do our own thing like we do for D&D games.
Meatball is good on pizza. Cochiaro's also offers Italian beef which is interesting to say the least.

Just so everyone knows Wrestlemania STARTS at 6, so I say get here around 4, and order the pizza no later than 5 so no one has to stop watching to go get pizza or something. If anyone wants to come earlier than 4 to play Magic I'll be free as early as possible; like noon probably.

Yes, it's two weeks from yesterday, on April Fool's Day.
And yes, I think we are planning to watch it.
So far, I believe you, me, Alex, Tony, and Kristen are all interested. To my knowledge nobody has asked Noj or John about it yet, or for that matter anybody else you guys might want to ask.

That's a good question. I suppose it depends on a few things. If we watched it at your place would we do it in the basement or up in your room?
I'd rather watch it at your place than mine, but if we get enough people where we'd be too packed in your room I can try and get the living room free to watch it.

To be fair, I said all those people were interested. You know Tony - I wouldn't count on his being there until he's physically in the room with us. As for Kristen, that's pretty much up to Alex to coordinate with her.

Well John is coming, so that's at least 4 and my room is too small for four people to fit comfortably.

Truth be told I'd rather use the basement anyway. Seating is much easier with a group of people.
