The Dragon King: his name has been lost to time, but in the age of dragons, he ruled over his kin by virtue of power, it was said that not only was he monstrous in size, but none could match his mastery of magic, its even believed that he was the one to create the magic that was used to mold the lesser races. He was a reclusive king, he kept no slaves after his palace was complete, he took no (permanent) mate and only sired two children, a son, who was an albino, and a daughter. in the dragon kings final days, he used the powerful shaping magic to warp his son and hundreds, maybe thousands of other dragons.
The Prince: More set the son apart, from the king, than just his white scales, while strong and fierce like his father, he was also honorable and just, he loathed the idea of taking slaves, and he hated the way the other dragons forced the humans into war just as much. It is that the first elf talked to the prince often, and is the one who convinced the prince to gather like minded dragons and to oppose his father. The King, in his final moments used the powerful shaping magic to warp all the dragons who sided with his son, making all they're scales shine like the metals, the son's scales, being albino, turned to the purest looking platinum.
The princess: Unlike the son, the daughter took after the father more closely, being just as cruel, uncaring and power hungry, she also seemed to inherited her fathers powerful magic, many were waiting for the day that she would attempt to take control from her father, but the day never came. When her brother led an army of dragons to attack The King, she rallied other dragons to defend the King, and fought her brother herself. the Prince had the upper hand throughout the fight, and in desperation she used her fathers shaping magic to meld the flesh of several of her fallen comrades to herself, to become a frighteningly powerful monstrosity. After the king was defeated and her brother and his forces warped, the siblings kept fighting, day and night, in a stalemate, they eventually disappeared, and its said they still fight to this day.
The Old Gods: After the defeat of the Dragon king, the hero's who felled him were never seen again, it was believed that they had all died in the battle, and all the slave raced celebrated they're victory and morned they're deaths, but in truth when the dragon king was killed, much his godly essence was absorbed by the heroes, and they themselves became gods, the first true gods of the people. for hundreds of years the races all lived in Harmony, but as memory of the dragons faded, so to did the Harmony, and eventually the raced warred with each other, the old gods decreed that the races would henceforth live apart from each other, and the world was divided, so that each raced would have a land of they're own.
as time passed and cultures changed and memories faded even more, worship of the old gods began to fade, the people turned to new gods, or old ones, for direction, and the power of the old god waned, till only the first elf remained, and what was left of the dragon King.
The New Gods: as it turns out, as long as a god has worshipers, its very hard to truly kill them. After the battle, where the King was "killed", what was left of his forces fled to a large jungle island and took with them all the slaves they could find, even the kobalds. dragons breed slowly, but kobalds bred like rabbits and were all taught to worship the king, so throughout the years the king began to grow stronger. the First elf, the last of the old gods saw this and prophesied that 3 human brothers would clash with the king and defeat him once again.
The elves heeded the first one, but didn't trust humans, so they sent a promising young warrior of they're own to find the three brothers and guide them.
Saridomin: Kind and righteous, saridomin was a warrior first and for-most, and he loved his brothers greatly, when he found out about the prophesy, he jumped at the challenge. in his time he was known to be a bit reckless but very honorable and would put himself at risk to protect anyone who needed it, he was often heard saying "its the duty of the strong to protect whose who cant protect themselves."
Guthix: stoic and standoffish, even from a young age, guthix preferred solitude, it allowed him to contemplate the world around him, and how everything worked together, its in that contemplation that he learned he valued balance over everything else, he lived his life trying to balance everything, the only reason he fought the dragon King was because he believed that the rise of dragons would throw the balance of the world off. while saridomin would say that the strong must protect the weak, guthix would say that the weak would never get strong unless left to fend for themselves.
Zamorach: cruel and greedy, Zamorach was always after more knowladge, and to him, knowledge was power, he was always exercising him mind somehow, and he made it clear, that the only reason he was going along with the quest to fight the risen dragon king, was because he knew he'd get more power from it, specifically the shaping magic used by the dragons. When they actually encountered that magic, it was used on the elf that traveled with them, turning him into a kobald, and lying, zamorach told his brothers that he couldn't do anything about it. where saridomin said the weak must be protected, and guthix said that the weak must be left to get strong, zamorach would say nothing, but think "the weak should be used."
when the time came for the brothers to clash with the dragon god, they prevailed, as the prophecy said, and just like the old gods, they siphoned off most of the Kings godly essence.
Vale'mar The young elven warrior sent to guide the brothers member of an order of knights who learned magic, and was considered one of the best. despite his skill with sword and spell, he was always quick to laugh. he took his duty seriously, tried his best to guide the brothers in they're quests, though most of the things he said fell on deaf ears, guthixs saying that things would turn out the way they were meant to be, and zamorach using saridomins brotherly love to manipulate him.
in they're questing the brothers and Vale'mar found an ancient dragon who still possessed the shaping magic of old and did battle with it, before they could slay it, it tried to warp them all into kobalds, but zamorach's magic protected the brothers, but not Vale'mar. zamorach claimed there was nothing he could do for vale'mar, and with his small, strange body, he couldn;t fight or cast spells like he used too, he was useless, and so they left him behind.
when the brothers defeated the dragon king, the elves gathered they're strongest spell casters and forced anything with dragonic blood in it back to that same jungle island the dragons retreated too before, this included all kobalds, even vale'mar, and the new corpse of the dragon king. after all the dragons were gathered they used they're magic to force i gigantic tree to grow from the sea to completely cover the island, trapping all of them inside.
while trapped, vale/mar found the "corpse" of the dragon king, and just like before, the dragon king wasn;t truly dead, just greatly weakened. The king told vale'mar the truth, that the brother had had the power to turn him back, Vale'mar became consumed by rage and when the dragon king offered to turn Vale'mar back, and to give him the last of his own power, Vale'mar agree, all he had to do was use that power to destroy the tree.
after he had gained the dragons power, he went to the dragons trapped with him and told them that he was going to destroy the tree, and that they were going to help him, and they agreed to do so, after that he gathered up all the kobalds and began to teach them that there was power in they're dragon blood, no matter how diluted by magic it was, and taught them how to harness it, and with this force he attacked the tree, but failed to bring it down, but he, and many other dragons escaped.
