Miamoto? whos miamoto if your reffering to the maker of the remote then okay, but still let me get some kick action on him... That would be Shigeru Miyamoto, I believe. He's the guy who's behind the Zelda and I think Mario games. I dunno if this controller is his fault or not, since I thought he just was a game designer not a system designer, but I wouldn't really know since I haven't been reading up on the Revolution project.

Shigeru Miyamoto is the current president of Nintendo. he is one of the original founders of the super mario club, which is responcible for so many of the great classics: mario, zelda, mega man, metroid, ice climbers, duck hunt, punch out, and many others.
how can anyone say that that "thing" is better than the game cube controller? id rather go back to the atari joystick, IT HAD MORE BUTTONS!!! >.<
unless this thing is motion sensitive to the screen and always has a curser that can be seen all the time, its just not gonna work.
p.s. does anyone else think that apple designed that frickin thing?

The gyroscope motion has a big flaw, in that it's simply not able to tilt properly, if one wanted to spin around and see a full 360 degree view....
also, wrestling games are just impossible to play on a controller designed like that...the ergonomic design of the cube controller is by far the best, I just wish the A button wasnt so huge...it breaks easily under constant repeated tapping

alright, ive seen a few more pictures of the revolution controller, and believe it or not, but its not going to be that bad. that is only one of the controllers and the one that we all see is to be held in your main hand and a separage analog joystick with a "z" button is held in the opposite hand.
yeah, its weird and complicated, but its changed my mind on it.
this should allow you to point at the screen with one hand and keep the other hand stationary. plus (and this is just me talking) i think theyre trying to be a little considerate for all the leftys out there. just think, you can move with your right and and now have better reaction time with your left.

I'll only be remotly interested in the system depending on what the decide to do with this rombusiness for older games. Also if a third party makes a correctly shaped controller. Like how you can get a good controller for the Gamecube.

I knew about the other half already, I thought I had mentioned it but guess I wasn't clear enough. The pictures I saw in EGM showed that as well, and it's still too goofy for my taste. I'm a firm believer in "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" and unfortunately none of the Big Three companies listened to that wisdom this time around.

Well ill be fair, Im not out right against the system or anything, I just don't think its worth spending the money on. Or rather there are things I find more interesting that I would like to buy first beforethe Nintendo Revolution. That and I don't know enough about it, to be interested. One thing I would rather get first would be the DS, just so I can play Castlevania Dawn of Sarrows. Which really appears to be an amazing game.

The only controller I don't like is the X-Box one b/c it is too big. I have nothing against the PS2 one or the Gamecube one.

will someone please tell me what the f**k is wrong with the game cube controller? its my third favorite one >.< The button placement is, for lack of a better word, odd. I find it conter-intuitive. When I move my thumb to where it feels like a button should be, it's not. Xbox sort of suffers from this problem too, especially since buttons jump around depending on whether you're using the original Xbox controller or the later, smaller one. The greatest thing about the PS2 controller, I think, was that it was exactly the same as the PSX Dualshock. Which, other than the silly idea of using symbols instead of letters or at least numbers, was pretty well designed.

I don't like the game cube controller but because it really does feel uncomfortable in my hands. My favorites have been the snes,ps1 and ps2(almost the same as ps1) controllers. I realy enjoy the gamecube controller thats been fashioned after a snes controller.
