Old games that should be resurrected

It occurred to me almost at random during a conversation that it would be cool if a new, 3D Kid Icarus game was made. An action game in the style of Devil May Cry or whatever, but with the wings and the bow and all that. After all, several other old school games have been resurrected successfully in recent years: Prince of Persia, Ninja Gaiden, Shinobi, Contra... the list goes on.

Here are some other old-school franchises I would like to see back for another go:

Battletoads
Gunstar Heroes
Streets of Rage
Eternal Champions
Double Dragon

wow...4 of those were some of my favorite games as a kid...and then you name something i've never heard of.

They did, for NES, SNES and Genesis. I actually have it on Genesis.
