Anybody who's ever tried to play Chrono Trigger on a computer emulator has probably run into this problem. I know I have. When you get to Arris Dome in 2300 AD, you get to a point where you have to hold L and R, then press A to open a door. Except that it doesn't work when you try it on the keyboard.
Well, I happened to be on the gamefaqs Chrono Trigger board, and discovered the reason why this is. Apparently keyboards are designed to not allow more than two simultaneous key presses (Ctrl+Alt+Del being the obvious exception). So what you need to do is go into the emulator's input menu, assign L and R to the same key, then hit that and your A button together. Then change your settings back.
I'm gonna try this next time I play the emulator. I'll let you know if it works.

Thanks for that tip. That's a problem that has pissed me off for years I always thought it was a bad emulator and/or rom. Speaking of which anyone who cares check out www.emuparadise.org for all your rom needs.

Romnation.net has served me well in the past, except there are a lot of things it doesn't have (namely anything made by Nintendo). Does that site have them?

I'll give it a try then because last time I tried it didn't work. Maybe just a bad file then.

I changed it to open with winrar and it opens fine now. Oh, the thing about emuparadise is they got Nintendo stuff there to date they boast that they have every GBA rom and from what i can tell they do. I got other stuff there that was unavlalble on romnation.

Worked for me too. I'm playing this Chrono Trigger spoof game I got on Romnation, where somebody hacked the dialogue to be funnier. They really did a halfassed job, though.
