I also forgot to mention Heimdall. Ull is a god of Justice and Dueling.

ah, now i remeber why i picked him...justice is a good thing, and closely related to honor, and who doesn't like a good duel?

Well I'll pass on the duel I cling too strongly to the idea of living.

not all duels are life and death, more like life and pain.

True enough. Then fine I prefer to experience as little pain as possible. however dueling is encouraged in the Rune game. There's an actual term for it where you can set up conditions and fight it out for treasure if you want.

Ok the duel is called a Holmgang. Basically there were in real life no official rules and in the game no official rules. You could make part of the duel that you and your opponent have chains fastened to one leg and the other to a stake in the ground so you can't flee. So your imagination's your limit. However I do have one rule about this. There's nothing wrong with being competitive and wanting items b ut if your going to hog most of the good stuff to yourself I'm going to dtop handing it out. There's no need for a dwarven hammer fo you fight with two handed weapons and have a dwarven sword.

Oh, its suggested in the book but not a rule that's enforced that you make a gentlemens agreement to share money and leave the dueling for weapons, armor, and other objects of interest.

Can we start a Holmgang every time two people fight over a treasure, and have each person wager an additional treasure on the outcome?

That will be purely up to you. In a serious way that may cause the duels to become not as common since there's more to loose. You have to decide if possibly loosing something of value is worth claiming what you want.
