I am just using the classes from the core book since I don't have hero's guide. I know we all love prestige classes(probably). Someone else make one about them if you want.
Anyway, why do you like the class you went with so much?

Scoundrel all the way for me. They're the only class to get 8+int skill points, which is key in Star Wars, which in my experience is more skill-based and less combat-oriented than the average D&D game. Plus that Lucky ability comes in handy when you come up with a natural 1 on your saving throw and are about to die. And of course, the coolest character in the Star Wars movies is a scoundrel:

I'm voting scoundrel too. That's what I'm taking next only real reason I have soldier levels is I needed a ton of feats.

I'm a big jedi guardian fan. You're right it is more skill based at least the way we've seen it. But combat is very deadly when it happens and so I say the jedi guardian is the guy if it comes to a melee fight

I'm just feeling flooded by Jedi after the new movie trilogy, so I'm gaining a greater appreciation for the non-Forcies out there.

Non forcies are great. They're like little puppies even. But even one non force class can have a character with the force sensitive feat. Soldier is a great sub for a jedi guardian. Yet when it comes to non-combat the scoundrel is the king I believe

Sure is. He gets to order his little fringer and tech spec. minions around like slaves!
Hehe, not exactly.
But I like to multiclass anyway. Especially in Star Wars where it's practically encouraged, what with the lack of multiclassing penalties and such.

Never been much of a multi-classer, but it seems like starwars would be a good place to test the waters. Since there are no real xp penalties or anything to do so, just the fact that you take a level in something else. I'll think about it actually...

Oh god multiclassing is great. I'm going into Scoundrel next so I'll be a Tech Specialist/Soldier/Soundrel. I think the biggest downside to the game is the fact there's no real reason to continue advancing in classes. Unless your a Jedi or a Tech Specialist who wants to make mastercraft items multiclassing is a good idea.

Unless your a Jedi or a Tech Specialist who wants to make mastercraft items multiclassing is a good idea. It seems that way. Most NPCs in the Core Book do not have a lot of levels in one particuliar thing, except Darth Vader, the Emporer, and Yoda.

My favorite is Force Adept just because its someone who knows and uses the force without being part of the Jedi customs.

scoundrel is great just because it is so versatile. You can bounty hunt, be a gambler, thief....lots of things. anything dishonest you can think of, the scoundrel can do!
