Cervantes was the commander of the Tof invasion of Nagi, leading the fleet of 15 ships from his flagship, the Black Star Brigand. Under his leadership, the invasion force decimated the Nagai spacefleet, forcing all Nagai resistance to be conducted on the planet at greatly reduced strength.
Shortly afterward, his ground troops captured the city of Kajima, and held its lord Den Siva prisoner in his own palatial estate. While Cervantes' mission was indeed to conquer Nagi, he had additional motivation. He wanted to capture the Jedi Holocron rumored to be possessed by the Jedi Master Mufasa.
Capturing Den Siva was actually a ruse intended to draw out Mufasa. It succeeded, and Cervantes slew Mufasa only to learn the Holocron was no longer in his possession. Cervantes personally searched Mufasa's home, until he found a record of Mufasa's giving the Holocron to two of his students to safeguard. So he released Den Siva's daughter Miko, a childhood acquaintance of the students, to deliver a message: if the Holocron is not returned within six months, Kajima would be levelled by aerial bombardment.
Sin Shai, one of those students, returned to Nagi with his new master Telos, and the two of them infiltrated the Black Star Brigand. When they encountered Cervantes, Telos squared off against him in a lightsaber duel, and defeated him quickly and easily.
With the death of Cervantes and the destruction of the Black Star Brigand, the Tof invasion force was left confused and disoriented. Shortly after the departure of Sin and Telos from Nagi, the Tof fleet left as well, stranding their ground troops and returning home. It is known that Cervantes was perhaps part of the Tof ruling council, but it is not known whether any of these others are dark Jedi.

The battle between Cervantes and Telos did not go at all as I had hoped. I expected Telos would win, but not as quickly or easily as he did.
A number of factors contributed to the anti-climactic screw-up:
-I didn't realize how high Telos's Defense was -I failed to take advantage of Cervantes's Force Flight or Rage feats, or his considerable ranks in Force Lightning -I had Cervantes charge straight into the fight, rather than using smart tactics (taking to the air and raining down lightning) -and of course, a lucky critical hit in Telos's gigantic crit range, which incidentally is also partly my fault because Xancha modified Telos's saber in our other campaign to expand the crit range by 1.

As you all know, Xancha was my PC in the Star Wars campaign I played in. He began his adventuring career as first mate on the smuggler ship Joker's Dagger, working for captain Leto Omak. They met up with a pair of Jedi apprentices named Telos and Lon Drachma, whom they would work with for most of their careers.
Thanks to their partnership with these Jedi, Xancha and Leto ended up fighting in the Clone Wars alongside Republic forces. Xancha took the opportunity to nick some equipment from the clone troopers, including grenades, a jetpack, and his wrist rocket launcher, among other things.
Eventually, Leto left the group, but by this time Xancha had his own ship, and had laid the foundations of his own smuggling cartel.
And this point is where I change the history from the campaign to bring it more in line with the official Star Wars timeline:
When the Jedi Purge began, Xancha and his friends survived the betrayal of the clone troopers. The Jedi decided it was best to separate and go into hiding, although Telos at least continued to search for and train apprentices. The three of them remained in contact as best they could, although they lost contact with Lon about five years after the Purge began.
As Xancha's smuggling organization continued to grow in size, he moved his base of operations several times, eventually settling on a moon orbiting the planet Ord Mantell. From there, he continued to operate his cartel, although he left most of the day-to-day operations in the hands of a few chief lieutenants, most notably his longtime friend Jik'tal and his chief smuggler, the Duros Lai Vantai. Xancha spent most of his own time tinkering with droids, and finally perfected his pet project, Gonk, an EG-6 power droid with the legs and wheels of an R2 astromech, and a plethora of hidden weapons and defenses, including a pair of heavy repeating blasters and a droideka shield generator.
Eventually, approximately 2 1/2 years after the Battle of Yavin, Xancha's base was located and bombarded by an Imperial Nebulon-B frigate. While some of the buildings remained intact due to being mostly underground, he felt it best to vacate the premises quickly, and moved his base of operations to an underwater facility on Mon Calamari near the home of his old friend Telos.
However, Xancha's pride got the better of him. He took the destruction of his smuggling base as a personal insult by the Empire, and joined the Rebel Alliance. Immediately he received a commission as captain and command of a Corellian Corvette. From his command ship, he led a small fleet in an unsuccessful attempt to liberate the planet Alzoc III, but was forced to retreat when a larger Imperial fleet showed up.
Unfortunately, Xancha's rebellion career was cut short at the battle of Derra IV, when his ship was destroyed by the Imperial Super Star Destroyer Executor.

Telos’s full name is Telosatramaru but is seldom used. Trained as a youngling by Yoda, he was a force using prodigy at controlling the force threw him. He became friends with Kel-Dor Lon Drachma who was 3 years older than he was. At age eleven Telos and Lon were selected to be Padawans by masters who were also friends of each other. Master Caveal trained Telos in the the ways of the dual-phase lightsaber and the lightsaber fighting style IV and he quickly became a very skilled swordsmen beyond his age without yet mastering them.
Age fifteen. The two masters and their apprentices were sent by the Jedi Council to Ryloth to protect an academy there and possibly bring home one rouge Jedi. The masters trusted their apprentices on their own drop ship for experience. Caveal entrusted Telos to protect Lon. It was the last time they would see their masters alive since the droid invasion fleet around the planet destroyed them. The Padawans were forced to retreat from the planet soon after landing and, after reaching the first hanger in sight, met up with captain Leto Omak and his first-mate Xancha. Lon bartered passage with Leto and the 4 left in their ship The Jokers Dagger.
The crew of the Dagger and the Jedi worked together to find the rouge Jedi Makre Krail after Lon and Leto painstakingly laid out terms for days. This is how Telos and Xancha became friends during their extra time between negotiations. Much time was spent searching and Krail was forced to flee from Telos in fights nearly to the death from; Ryloth, Tatooine, Korriban and finally caught and had to be killed on Nar Shadda.
Age sixteen. Leto and Xancha receive a LARGE payment from the republic promised by the Jedi for aiding the war. They joined the Jedi in their further excursions in the clone wars. Most notably defending Kamino where Xancha, Lon, and Telos came up with a plan to destroy a droid control ship using a dropship rigged with explosives. The resulting chaos helping shut down thousands in an instant and praises were received for it and the saving of all the future clones. Telos became strong enough to take on two destroyer droids at once now.
Age seventeen. Telos and Lon were knighted and sent to Kashyyk. Telos and Lon found their first apprentices. For Telos it was a wookie named Arribacca. He allowed the wookie to train with him on the condition that he survived the upcoming assault on the shore of the planet the federation was to attack. The wookie managed to barely survive and so Telos was good to his word. It was during the end of the battle that the clones all turned on the Jedi and Telos was forced to kill many troopers on the way back to what was not Xancha’s ship. On the way into hiding Xancha decides to start a smuggling operation against the new “empire”. Telos insists the Jedi help him even as the group goes to the Vergasso asteroids to meet up with Yoda and Obi-Wan. The two older masters advised the new 2 masters to do the same. Lon was going to but for Telos’ persistent insistence that the Jedi stay active. They go off to rebuild the order.
Age twenty. Telos finally masters the dual-phase lightsaber and the form IV technique: his ability in combat doubles. The Jedi take over a very small capital ship, Guardian I, and man it with survivors of the Antarian Rangers. Lon takes on a second Padawan to Telos’ great annoyance over the “old ways”. Telos and Arribacca assist Xancha’s organization as protectors to Lon’s annoyance.
Age twenty two. Telos Knights Arribacca and goes to find another to bring to the ship. Passively looking for candidates while helping Xancha he finds a Mon-Calamari named Kolit who would be trained. Returning to the ship, Telos found more masters and apprentices than before. Lon takes on a third Padawan and Telos becomes irritated with his old friend. Lon becomes irritated with Telos helping Xancha so much saying that Jedi were “not ready yet”.
Age twenty seven. Telos Knights Kolit and Arribacca knights his own Padawan. With all of Lons students there were 7 masters and 2 knights looking for students. Before the new Jedi order was able to disembark, Guardian I was found by an imperial cruiser. The ship was ionized and attempted to be boarded. Telos led the defense and ultimately the crew of the imperial ship was annihilated but for 1 escaped shuttle between all the Jedi and the ship was commandeered by Lon. The new Jedi order was divided between Telos’s students and Lons. Some rangers went with Lon and some with Telos. The two friends became truly frustrated with each others’ methods and broke off contact. Telos joins with Xanchas group again for the time being to protect he and his organization when needed.
Age twenty nine. Guardian I is given to master Arribacca by Telos and he goes off to start anew. The organization transports Telos to his home world of Glee Anselm. He found a new apprentice in fellow Nautolian; Renko Losa. They trained almost exclusively underwater since the planet was occupied by the imperials. The two mediated between the Nautolians and the Anselmi as Jedi in the republic would. They even stopped a civil war from happening under the waves. He taught Renko the secrets of the dual-phase lightsaber and form IV. Xancha’s people looked into how the old master was doing. Many imperial scouts mysteriously disappeared during this time…
At age thirty five. Telos Knights Renko and wishes him well as the master goes back to the organization for a time to find another candidate. He found a human named Marl Rossek. Marl was a great student all the way to the point he felt ready to be a knight. Telos disagreed and Marl quickly became more stifled and angry. This inevitably led Marl to the dark side and he did one day attack Telos. The master was compassionate to only break the boy’s lightsaber and Marl fled narrowly escaping into the galaxy. It is suspected Marl led many imperial inquisitors to Telos, but all were easily dispatched. It had been years now since Telos became weary from battle. He relocates to Mon Calamari and making an abode deep underwater.
Age forty. After years of meditation and seeking of an apprentice in vain, Telos submits to becoming a hermit. Xancha’s group relocates to the planet nearby the old masters cave. Finally coming to a realization that the dark side may have influenced his teaching Marl, Telos vows never to train more apprentices unless the force brought him one. The very next day Sin Shai was brought to Telos. After learning of Sins home world and the peril it was in along with the Jedi holocron he had, Telos offered to go with his new Padawan to change the situation. The old master used his powers of illusion to easily infiltrate the rightful leader of Nagai with Sin. After freeing Den Siva on Nagai’s city of Kajima the beginnings of a revolution were started and with Sins insistence they made their way to the capital ship of the invaders. The two Jedi made short work of those that would try to stop them from reaching the command deck. Telos and Tof leader Cervantes squared off in a dual that lasted all of 30 seconds in favor of Telos. They left the Nagai at the beginnings of freedom and went to join Xancha and the rest of the rebellion against the empire. After fighting to liberate another planet Sin turned to the dark side briefly but it left echoes of Marl in Telos’s mind. With trouble finishing his trials and now the stain of the dark side Telos was preparing to defend himself against an attack from the Padawan when at the sudden battle of Derra IV he performed so much heroism that he completely redeemed himself. After only a couple months Telos Knighted Sin and completed his training. The new Jedi flew Telos back to Nagai where he would grieve for his now dead friend Xancha along with defending the new free people and training more Jedi. His tale of rebuilding the Jedi order goes on…

Dyyz is a bounty hunter, and frequent partner of Spurch "Warhog" Goa. The two operate out of Nar Shaddaa, taking what bounties they can while trying to avoid the attention of Jabba the Hutt. Dyyz wears a suit of Ithullan battle armor, and a rusty skull-shaped helmet. The Ithullans were an ancient enemy of the Mandalorians, and were wiped out in a long and bloody war centuries ago. Ithullan armor is at least as rare as Mandalorian battle armor. A former police officer in his home system, he was a tough cop who ended up becoming a member of the Sector Rangers, where he met his partner Warhog. The two busted up a counterfeiting ring that they learned was created by Jabba in an attempt to destroy the Rangers. After they fought off a group of assassins sent by Jabba, Nataz stole their ship and sent it on a collision course with Jabba's asteroid palace. While Jabba was unharmed, plenty of damage was caused, and Nataz earned the nickname "Megadeath." Nataz and Warhog fled to Nar Shaddaa, where they became bounty hunters. Eventually they ran into a young Rodian named Greedo, whom they agreed to train in the bounty hunting arts. Warhog took the young Greedo to Tatooine, where Greedo accepted his first bounty from Jabba, to bring in Han Solo dead or alive. As you all know, Greedo was shot and killed by Solo in the Mos Eisley Cantina. In actuality, Warhog Goa had accepted a bounty on Greedo from another group of Rodians, and had deliberately encouraged Greedo to go after Solo, knowing Solo would kill him. Dyyz Nataz would later partner with the fledgling bounty hunter Torin Koon on Koon's first bounty. After successfully acquiring the target, Nataz double-crossed Torin, stranded him without a ship, and took the bounty for himself. Update on Dyyz Nataz: after hearing about the bounty of 100,000 credits placed on Torin Koon by Jabba the Hutt, Dyyz had the good fortune to learn, thanks to his pal "Warhog" Goa, that his old partner Torin was on Nar Shaddaa. Remembering how he'd double-crossed the guy before, Dyyz assumed he could take him again. So he followed Torin, confronted him in an alley, and tried to capture him for the bounty. Current location of Dyyz Nataz: the trunk of Sin Sha's X-34 landspeeder.

Alrighty, I think it's time for a few more NPCs...
Lexi Konnar female Human, Noble 2 / Soldier 1
Str 10, Dex 16, Con 14, Int 16, Wis 15, Cha 18. 32 vitality, 14 wounds. Fort+4, Ref+5, Will+5. Initiative +3, Defense 17. Speed 10m. Attacks: +5 (3d6, crit 20, Blaster Pistol) or +7 ranged (5d10x2, crit 20, Y-Wing laser cannons) Feats: Starship Operations: Starfighter, Fame, Trustworthy. Class abilities: Bonus class skill: Pilot, Favor +1, Inspire Confidence
Skills: Appraise +8, Bluff +7, Computer Use +8, Diplomacy +11, Disguise +9, Entertain (impersonation) +7, Gather Information +9, Knowledge (fashion) +6, Knowledge (bureaucracy) +7, Pilot +9, Ride +8, Sense Motive +7.
Lexi joined Gold Squadron when they filled up their ranks before Derra IV. The daughter of a rich Corellian family (her father was a retired Senator), she joined the Alliance for thrills and adventure, as well as an idealistic conviction that the evil Empire must be destroyed. At the time, she was a typical Corellian: brave, cocky, and with no regard for odds. However, due to her shaky performance in battle and the fact that she was repeatedly approached for loans and connections, and for little else, she came to feel that her only value to her friends was her money, and began to doubt her own self-worth. While she had already been a long-time addict of carsunum spice, a potent and highly addictive drug, her personal problems drove her even deeper into her addiction, which she tried to hide. Along with most of her squadron, she was killed when R2D10 exploded carrying a batch of grenades during a firefight on Geonosis.

Jocasta Omas female Human, Tech Specialist 2/ Soldier 1
Str 10, Dex 16, Con 15, Int 18, Wis 17, Cha 16. 32 vitality, 14 wounds. Fort+4, Ref+4, Will+4. Initiative +3, Defense 17. Speed 10m. Attacks: +5 (3d6, crit 20, Blaster Pistol) or +7 ranged (5d10x2, crit 20, Y-Wing laser cannons) Feats: Starship Operations: Starfighter, Skill Emphasis (Craft), Starship Point Blank Shot, Skill Emphasis (Repair). Class abilities: Research.
Skills: Astrogate +8, Computer Use +10, Craft (starfighters) +12, Demolitions +10, Disable Device +9, Knowledge (engineering) +6, Knowledge (technology) +9, Pilot +10, Profession (engineer) +7, Repair +13, Search +8.
A quiet, bookish woman, where fellow squadron pilot Lexi Konnar was tall, athletic and blonde, Jocasta was of average height and brunette (for those of you who have played Chrono Trigger, it's like Lucca vs. Marle). Formerly a scientist with Incom Corporation, Jocasta was an assistant to one of the main designers of the X-Wing fighter. When Incom was natinoalized for smuggling the X-Wing to the Rebel Alliance, she defected to the Rebels, and worked in the ground crew at the Battle of Yavin. When the call for new pilots for Gold Squadron went out, she applied for the squadron, hoping her experience with the X-Wing design could gain her entry to the B-Wing design program as a design specialist and flight tester. Prior to the destruction of her home planet Alderaan, Jocasta was one of a vocal minority that agreed with former Senator Bail Organa and his daughter that their planet's pacifistic ways must go. Although she never met Bail Organa, she considered him a hero, and counts meeting his daughter as one of the high points of her life. Shortly after joining Gold Squadron, she began dating Lieutenant Ari Sevan, with whom she found common ground as a fellow Alderaanian. Although she felt strongly for him, she also felt he was too protective of her, and wondered if that might one day cost either Ari or one of the other squadron members their lives. Although the relationship had its rocky moments, such as when Ari bombed factories on Alzoc III regardless of civilian casualties, she eventually got past it. Unfortunately, she died along with most of her squadron during a firefight on Geonosis when R2D10 exploded.

Tuunac Tun male Trianii, Scout 3/ Soldier 3
Str 8, Dex 16, Con 13, Int 16, Wis 15, Cha 12. 47 vitality, 13 wounds. Fort+6, Ref+6, Will+5. Initiative +3, Defense 18. Speed 10m. Attacks: +8 ranged (3d6, crit 20, Blaster Pistol) or +9 ranged (5d10x2, crit 20, Y-Wing laser cannons) Feats: Starship Operations: Starfighter, Gearhead, Heroic Surge 2/day, Acrobatic, Starship Dodge, Starship Point Blank Shot, Spacer. Class abilities: Trailblazing, Heart +1.
Skills: Astrogate +13, Climb +2, Computer Use +14, Craft (sublight engines) +10, Demolitions +12, Hide +8, Jump +2, Move SIlently +8, Pilot +14, Repair +13, Spot +7, Survival +4, Treat Injury +7, Tumble +2.
Tuunac, who joined the Rebel Alliance about a year and a half after the Battle of Yavin, is known as a somewhat aloof but extremely dependable Trianii. He quickly found his way into the starfighter corps, where he earned a reputation as a capable pilot that his squadronmates could always count on. That all changed, however, at the Battle of Derra IV. When Tuunac's fighter was shot down, his belief in his own abilities was completely shattered. Every time he entered the cockpit, he feared that he would let his friends down, and somebody would be killed. However, he ended up dying along with all of them in a firefight on Geonosis, when R2D10 exploded while carrying a batch of grenades. His own abilities had nothing to do with it.

Jerec Forma male Human, Fringer 5
Str 13, Dex 16, Con 12, Int 14, Wis 13, Cha 12. 35 vitality, 12 wounds. Fort+5, Ref+6, Will+2. Initiative +3, Defense 18. Speed 10m. Attacks: +6 ranged (3d6, crit 20, Blaster Pistol) or +8 ranged (5d10x2, crit 20, Y-Wing laser cannons) Feats: Starship Operations: Starfighter, Skill Emphasis (Pilot). Gearhead. Class abilities: Bonus class skills: Computer Use and Repair, Jury-rig +2, Barter.
Skills: Computer Use +12, Gamble +9, Hide +10, Knowledge (genetics) +9, Listen +7, Pilot +14, Repair +4, Search +8, Spot +7, Survival +11.
Jerec Forma, an overeager farmboy from Agamar, joined the Rebel Alliance about two years after the Battle of Yavin. Because of his home planet, he had to work hard to shed a reputation as a slow-witted backwater hick, and his aptitude for piloting helped quite a bit in that respect. He distinguished himself well in training, particularly in the cockpit of a Y-Wing, and so was chosen personally by Dutch to join Gold Squadron. There, Jerec found himself often paired with Ari Sevan, whom he quickly began to look up to even more than his other squadron mates. Although he was shot down at Derra IV, Jerec survived with only minor injuries. This led to a belief that he, like Ari, Tuunac, Lanius Pace and Ruznee, were practically invincible, especially since they had outshined the legendary Rogue Squadron in battle. Unable to reconcile this with the fact that his commander, the veteran Dutch, was killed in battle, he brushed it off as a lucky shot. Unfortunately, reality came crashing down for Jerec when he died on Geonosis along with most of his squadron during a firefight when R2D10 exploded while carrying more than two dozen grenades.

Ruznee male Ortolan, Scout 5
Str 13, Dex 14, Con 14, Int 13, Wis 14, Cha 15. 40 vitality, 14 wounds. Fort+5 (+7 vs. poison), Ref+5, Will+5. Initiative +2, Defense 17. Speed 10m. Attacks: +6 ranged (3d6, crit 20, Blaster Pistol) or +8 ranged (5d10x2, crit 20, Y-Wing laser cannons) Feats: Starship Operations: Starfighter, Track, Maneuver Expertise (pursuit). Class/Species abilities: Trailblazing, Heart +1, Uncanny Dodge (Dex bonus to Defense), Skill Mastery (Pilot), Extreme Effort 1/day, Keen Smell.
Skills: Computer Use +7, Hide +4, Listen +6, Pilot +8, Profession (cook) +8, Repair +3, Search +6, Spot +6, Survival +6, Swim +2.
Ruznee joined Gold Squadron at the same time as Jerec Forma, when Dutch was beginning to find new pilots to replenish the group's depleted ranks. Because there weren't many Ortolans in the Alliance, Ruznee has always felt somewhat lonely. However, he was able to form a brief friendship with Karas, the only Sarkan he had ever met. Like most Ortolans, Ruznee loves to eat. Food is precious to Ortolans because it's so difficult to obtain on their frigid home planet. And Ruznee could eat enough for three creatures his size at least. After miraculously surviving the Battle of Derra IV with his fighter mostly intact, Ruznee believed, deep down, that he was living on borrowed time. He tried as best he could to keep up his exuberant, jolly facade, but always found himself looking over his shoulder for danger. Eventually it caught up to him on Geonosis, where Ruznee died along with most of his squadron during a firefight when R2D10 exploded while carrying a large payload of explosives.

Born offworld from her native Kubindi, Tavvar always felt drawn to the stars, a problem since the Kubaz do not themselves possess interstellar travel capabilities. She managed to obtain transportation offworld, and spent several years traveling the galaxy, where she came to see the evil committed by the Empire. She joined the Rebel Alliance to help her people see through the lies of the Empire, whom the Kubaz regarded as their allies because of Imperial propaganda telling them that the Rebels were sabotaging their scientific efforts. Upon joining the Alliance, Tavvar tried out for the starfighter corps. Although her scores were not good enough for Rogue Squadron, she was accepted into Gold Squadron, where she was proud to serve under Dutch, one of the heroes of Yavin. At the Battle of Derra IV, Tavvar was nearly killed, but managed to withdraw along with a couple of other pilots. She vowed to avenge the deaths of her friends Kavilo and Rade Venutton, as well as her hero Dutch. When Gold Squadron, now commanded by Ari Sevan and based out of the Bodacious, remained in orbit around Myrkr with nothing to do, and with Ari apparently having left them behind, Tavvar decided to desert the squadron. She couldn't go back to the Alliance, who had reported the entire squadron dead after Derra IV, so she left to continue her quest for vengeance alone.
