Has it already been talked out? It seems like there has been alot of discussion on it so why not try a thread for the game, eh?
I myself am a real fan of Lord of the Rings Risk

Bring on the Riskiness!!!
All strategies and board setups aside, why the heck did they have to make the pieces for the original Risk so friggin small? The soldiers are way too easy to lose! That's an often forgotten bonus of other forms of Risk, or at least Godstorm. I'd assume other Risk games improved on that design flaw as well.

Why not...might as well have a separate thread on it..
My nephew has the LOR Risk...I, myself dont really care for it...it has nothing to do with me not really caring about LOR...in fact, I welcome playing on an entirely new map...I just dont care for that "chase the ring" inside minigame thing they make you do

You don't have to chase the ring if you don't want to. Just make up a house rule where it's the timer on the game. I think that makes LOTR risk actual one of the most efficient risk gamse as far as a time limit goes. Though I once played an actual game of risk in 15 minutes. Wow did I do badly...

Oh yeah. I wasn't in this game but I saw it. I've never seen such one-sided results in opposed die rolling.

Good grief were those bad rolls. Personally I have my doubts about how we set up but it seemed to be organized enough for us to be able to have an actual game. The bad part was me almost always rolling lower. The good part was I didn't have to sit threw a slow painful losing streak but a lightning quick one and I was off to probably play more Rampart
