Hahaha... There is also an option to activate flickering graphics when there are too many sprites on the screen, a common problem in early NES games.[9]. That's funny. You can deliberately make the graphics go bad like on an old NES cartridge. I wonder if there'll be a button to make the system keep turning on and off?

Even though I won't have a way of playing it at least no time soon, I'm glad they are doing it this way. I looking forward to seeing more.

Playing this made me desire a nice relaxing plathrough of Megaman one on regular mode. Which I can actually do where as in this game I can't even get through one level.

MM9 is definitely the most challenging Mega Man game I've ever seen.

Yeah its hard. Now there is the distinct possibilty that I'm just not used to its level layouts yet but even so the level of difficulty for the stages is still higher then its supposed to be I think and I get a sense they just get harder as you go on. I'm afraid to think of what its Wily levels are like.

Speaking from a bit of experience, it seems to me that you basically have to go through the levels and die in all the bad places first, then just remember what got you so you can pass it the next time. And there are a few places that are going to get you most of the time anyway because they're just so ridiculously hard.
Anybody that claims they beat one of those levels on the first try without dying is lying. It's that simple.
That said, I still have more fun with MM9 than I did with 8, 7, and 1. If they had included the charge up buster and the slide, I would enjoy it a lot more, as the slide is useful for more than just getting into narrow places; it's also a very effective dodge that I miss having.
But the game definitely isn't as fun as Mega Man 2-6 because it's so d**n hard.

That might be the problem. I got used to the slide and mega buster. I think they should of left those in or made them findable upgrade because those are natural ablities Megaman gained and pernamently kept since he got them in MM3(slide) and MM4(Buster). Weird to just take them out all of the sudden.

They did make ProtoMan as a downloadable character you can play. He has both the slide and the Mega Buster. However, he takes about twice as much damage whenever he's hit as Mega Man (which is stupid since he has a shield and all). I didn't really play him though so I don't know how much difference it makes.

Now that I have an Xbox 360, I've gotten the game myself. So far I've only been able to beat one boss. We'll see whether I can get farther than I could before.

I FINALLY beat the 8 bosses. Plug Man's stage was the last and hardest, because of the disappearing block puzzle.
While disappearing block puzzles have been in probably all of the Mega Man games (certainly most of them), I hate them and always have. Ever since Mega Man 3, I've just used Rush Jet to bypass them. Well, in this game it's deliberately set up so that there's a wall you need to get under, and it's impossible to steer Rush under it. So basically I just had to hit the wall and fall onto a block at the right time before it disappeared. And then there was a difficult jump to get from the next block to safety. Once I beat that part of the level, the rest (including the boss) was easy.
