Just wanted to let Alex know that I am borrowing TOny's X-Box and I picked it up yesterday. So whenever you finish with R.E. 5 just let me know. I tried to look around to rent it until you are done with it, but no one seems to have any copies left. Also wanted to let you, and John know that I talked to Tony and I may be buying the X-Box from him if all goes well. Any games worth renting or picking up besides R.E. 5?

Well, I've only had my 360 since Christmas, but here's what I've come across so far.
-You already have Left 4 Dead on the PC, and it's new enough that you won't find a used copy for that much cheaper than the new price. But if somehow you could get it for cheap, you could play online with us sometime.
-I don't know how you are about fighting games or the Dead or Alive series specifically, but DOA4 is freakin' hard. That makes it very aggravating, although I still kind of find it fun sometimes anyway.
-I don't care what anybody says, Lego Indiana Jones is annoying. But if you played Lego Star Wars and liked it or you just don't believe me, you're free to borrow it anyway.
-For a movie tie-in game, Kung Fu Panda isn't bad. But it still seems pretty average. Nothing special but maybe worth a playthrough if you like.
Then there's the Xbox Live Arcade, where you can download a bunch of games of various kinds. A few of my favorites:
-Castle Crashers. We played this at your house around New Years. There's 20+ characters, and although some of them play almost or even exactly the same as others, there's still quite a bit of variety. Costs $15 worth of MS points.
-Commanders: Attack of the Genos. It's a sort of turn-based Command & Conquer type game. Being that it's turn-based, it kind of plays like Arc the Lad or those type of games. A fair amount of stuff to do single player, plus you can play vs. as well. Costs maybe $10 worth of points.
-Carcassonne. This one's hard to explain. It's a tile game, and you build castles and roads and such, and try to get more points than your opponents. I find it surprisingly fun even though it probably doesn't sound like it. Also, there are three expansions you can download that massively extend replay value by mixing up the rules a bit and giving you more tiles.

hm...well i have the feeling you'd like dead rising, its a survival game, zombie based, your in a mall and you can basicly fight with anything you find.
uh...assassin's creed woul dbe good for you, if just for the story since you seem to know alot of the stuff going on in the background. and you've played alittle fable II so if you enjoyed that, thats a good one.

Ah yes, Fable II, and Assasin's Creed all were good games and I may get those, or buy them from Tony if he has them; I can't recall. Dead Rising sounds cool too.

So it seems I will be getting Tony's X-Box 360 along with his copy of Ultimate Alliance and Assassin's Creed. I plan on buying Resident Evil 5 too; right now I rented it from Blockbuster because I don't want Alex to part with his copy after just buying it. I know you have a lot in the game you want to get done still.

Incidentally, Marvel Ultimate Alliance has eight extra characters you can get as downloadable content: Sabertooth, Magneto, Dr. Doom, Venom, Cyclops, Hawkeye, Hulk, and Nightcrawler.

How to make your 360 cooler:
1.) Buy a Resident Evil 5 faceplate with bonus skin stickers. 2.) Take off old faceplate. 3.) Put on new faceplate that is uber cool. 4.) Put on kick ass skin stickers. 5.) Bask in your new much cooler 360. 6.) Punch Bill Gates in the face for making me pay to change my profile name because I can't transfer game saves between profiles and changing the profile name is all I can do. 7.) Repeat step 6.

Well the new XBox I bought red ringed on me and its not even 6 months old yet. Needless to say I just sold it to Gamestop along with my games because I've absolutely had it with the system and its inability to last more than 6 months for me. So Alex, or anyone else, if you want to buy Darksiders from me for like 20 that's cool, otherwise when your done with it I'll just trade it in for something. I'll also give Ultimate Alliance 2 and Bayonetta back to you on Sunday.

nuts, that sucks. You know if your system is less than 6 months old you could get it replaced under warranty. Though I guess it's too late now.

I know I don't want it replaced. I am friends with the manager at Gamestop I bought it at so he just gave me a cash refund basically. They'll just fix it and resell it more than likely.

'Tis a shame you're done with the system. But I totally understand. I marvel at the patience of people I know who have had their system replaced 5 or even 6 times.

if you know anyone that red rings again, my buddy does a permanent fix on it. the big problem is that Microsoft used Lead-free solder in it. if you use regular solder when fixing it, it won't red ring again.
