So as I mentioned on John's board I have some good news. I basically, to put it nicely, rocked the boat over here at work and may be getting my supervisor's boss fired. She is the one causing the problems here and was more or less making people work undesirable hours. More or less I got in her trouble with the school and possibly the law for my problem and other things she has done here. I may lose my job over this, but I doubt it. Either way its not a huge loss as Its not a career job anyway. But the best point is that I will be free on the weekends for D&D and hanging out.
So now that I have that extremely frustration experience almost over, I wanted to repost my D&D campaign idea and get some feedback and see if at least three people are interested. It would start at the end of April or May and go throughout the summer likely alternating with John's game if that is ok with John and everyone else. Day wise it could be on Saturday or Sunday whichever works best for everyone else.
Easter definitely mentioned he is for it, and actually started giving me some ideas that I can use. The game will use a new domain that I am working on creating. The domain will take a lot from Petya's country Bulgaria. I know Ravenloft has a lot of Slavic influence to begin with, but there are certain things about Bulgaria that I want to put into this domain that aren't too much in other Ravenloft domains.
It would start at a low level like 2 or 3, because I want to actually use Denizens of Darkness and have the wildlife actually be able to challenge you and what not. Plus I think that it is much easier to get the whole gothic horror atmosphere going when you guys are at a lower level. Let’s face it, Ravenloft is a lower level setting when compared to Faerun and others.
You could, theoretically, start in any domain in the core, but the new domain will be directly south of Sithicus and you will eventually be heading there. I'll have to work in a reason for your character to head to the new domain unless you create a reason for your character ahead of time before we start the first session.
I REALLY REALLY prefer you to be good, or at the very least neutral. Generally this isn't a problem for our group, but I wanted to mention it just to cover all the bases. I'll mention the game to Tony, but I'm not sure if he'll be interested with another game already going on. But regardless I can easily do this with three people and rotate in NPCs as the campaign goes along.
So let me know what you think if you could. I know I have a bad record for running games, but I hope this one can actually go over well finally.
