Does it come with a town setting outside of the castle where you can heal your wounds at the church and buy items and has a knight who you can exchange magical crystals with only once and then says he refuses to exchange crystals over and over again even after you got a better crystal from another town by trading with a different but similar knight?

He didn't say it was a Castlevania board game.

It might be good. It might be like Hero Quest.

I'm intereted in the pieces. It mentioned skeletons and zombies and I always wanted more of those from Hero Quest. It also mentioned something about a draco lich too.

I'm somewhat curious, although it's probably going to be too expensive for me. It seems like all board games other than the old-school ones we all know (Monopoly, etc.) are about $50 each, which to me is way too much to pay for a board game.

Agreed $50 for a board game is a lot. More minis are always a good thing and if I can use them for D&D I'd be more inclined to buy it plus it is a Ravenloft game, which is obviously a big selling point for me, but I guess we'll see what happens.

Yup. Definitely worth keeping an eye out for just in case.

I was right on target with the price, which means I'm not going to be buying it myself. Which is just as well since I very rarely have people over anymore and don't really need to be buying board games.
I'll totally try playing it if you decide to pick it up though.

I'm tempted only for collectors sake honestly. I wish the pieces that came with it were painted. I am curious to see the Strahd piece though. It can't be worse than the DND mini Strahd.

What, you don't like Elf Pirate Strahd?
I actually think that mini looks cool, although the ridiculously oversized cape is a bit much. It's just... not Strahd.
Now the Van Richten mini, that's just truly awful.
