I found this in my email today:
Nocturne update
Jan. 10, 2005
Hey Everyone!
It's been a while since I sent you all an e-mail. I hope that everyone has been well, and that you all have had a safe and wondeful Christmas and New Years.
I am sorry to say this, but after a lot of thought over the past couple of months, I have decided to put Nocturne on hold for an indefinite period of time. Therefore, we have no plans to tour or release new music for at least the next six months, if not longer. I have been doing the Nocturne thing for quite a while now, and have decided to change direction, musically speaking. The "metal", "goth", and "industrial" genres of music are a tough genre to prosper in, and many well repsected bands who are bigger than we are and have been around longer, are really
struggling! No new bands in this genre are being signed either (with the exception of the independent labels). Although we have had a good deal of success, we've gone on some amazing tours, and we've received a great deal of support from our label, the press, and mainly, YOU GUYS! - I feel it's time to try something new. Chris and Rotny and I are all still great friends. Chris is working in various local bands in Dallas, and Rotny is touring with an up-and-coming industrial / experimental band called "Psyclon 9", who is going on tour this month. I am working on new music, but in a different genre of music (I'll give you the details LATER! Sorry!) I'll be in touch with you all within the next few months to keep you posted. But whatever happens with Nocturne, I'm not going away so don't worry!!!
I will probably be shutting down the Nocturne message board soon, but I will keep the Nocturne e-mail address up and running. Feel free to e-mail me any time at NocturneMusic@yahoo.com
Also, we will still be selling CDs off of the Nocturne web site (www.nocturne.cc). If you have ordered a CD since Christmas, you should have received it by now. If you ordered your CDs on or after Christmas, you will receive them next week.
In the mean time, until you hear from me again, thank you all so much for your tremendous support! Please continue being kind to animals and to those around you! Please keep educating yourself and staying involved with animal related issues as well as environmental and human rights related issues!
Thanks everyone! I'll e-mail you again in a few months. Until then, once again, you can always contact me at this e-mail address.
Don't be bummed out - I'll be making noise again very soon (but of a different kind)! I promise!
Cheers,
- Lacey

P.S. Thank you to those of you who sent us e-mails or put really nice comments on our MySpace page. I am sorry that I cannot respond to each of you individually because there are too many. But I do read them all and thank you for sending them!
